PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVE (PEO) for Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering

PEO-1: To provide students with the knowledge of Basic Sciences and Social Science in general and Electrical Engineering in particular so as to impart the necessary skill to analyze and synthesize electrical circuits, algorithms and complex apparatus.

PEO-2: To provide technical knowledge, skill and competence to identify, comprehend and solve problems in industry, research and academics related to power, information and electronic hardware.

PEO-3: To prepare the students to successfully work in various Industrial and Government organizations, both at the National and International level, with professional competence and ethical administrative acumen so as to be able to handle critical situations and meet deadlines.

PEO-4: To prepare and inspire the students to become future researchers / scientists with innovative ideas for a sustainable development.

PEO-5: To mould the students to improve their technical and intellectual capabilities through life-long learning process so as to become good teachers, either in a class or to juniors in industry.

PEO-6: To train the students basic human and communication skills so that they may be both good team-members and leaders.  

 

PROGRAMME OUTCOME (PO) for Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering

The students are expected to possess some, if not all, of the attributes listed below.

PO-1: An ability to apply the knowledge of mathematics, science and Engineering in all aspects of Electrical Engineering.

PO-2: An ability to communicate effectively and to prepare formal technical plans leading to solutions and detailed reports for electrical systems.

PO-3: Broad theoretical knowledge in Electrical Engineering and the methods of applying them to identify, formulate and solve practical problems involving electrical signals and power.

PO-4: An ability to apply the techniques of using appropriate tools to investigate, analyze, design, simulate and/or fabricate/commission complete systems involving generation, transmission and distribution of electrical energy .

PO-5: An ability to model real life problems using different hardware and software platforms, both offline and in real-time.

PO-6: Ability to design and fabricate a hardware and/or software system, a component thereof, and processes to meet desired performance needs, within realistic constraints.

PO-7: To assess the feasibility, applicability, optimality and future scope of power networks and apparatus.

PO-8: Possess ability to assess, analyze and apply advanced control techniques to interconnected electrical systems and subsystems.

PO-9: Ability to design and implement hardware and software schemes involving signal sensing and processing leading to decision making in real time for engineering systems and processes.

PO-10: Ability to work in a team and comprehend his/her scope of work, deliverables and issues in which help is needed by other members of the team.

PO-11: A recognition of the need for identifying contemporary issues due to changing technical scenario and an ability to engage in life-long learning to update himself/herself.

PO-12: An ability to align with and upgrade to higher learning and research activities.

PO-13: To be familiar with project management problems and basic financial principles for a muti-disciplinary work.

PO-14: Possess an appreciation of professional, societal, environmental and ethnical issues and proper use of renewable resources.
